I returned from vacation today feeling exactly how one should feel, rested and rejuvenated. A funny thing happens when you take away the vary aspects of your life that induce stress;
No deadlines..
No expectations..
..and no worries.
What is really important in life becomes the forefront while everything else takes a back seat.
Unfortunately the very root of the definition of vacation is “a period of time”. And so while that period of time is over it generally recharges us enough to know that those once big stressors maybe aren’t so big at all.
It’s all about perspective and sometimes stepping away helps to change that a bit.

I agree with you! It’s so nice to have a bit of a break and just relax.

!!!! It would have been such a bummer if you had to cancel it! Glad they were able to accommodate.
Hooray for a fabulous vacation! Glad it was everything you needed – and good luck getting yourself back in the swing of things!
Looking good there at the new ball park! Returning from vacations is mentally exhausting.

Agreed! Holidays are the best, and so important for refreshing, recharging and also getting some perspective. We can all get bogged down with work, but having time away makes you appreciate other things. Glad you had a lovely time.

I totally agree! I have certain times of the year that are incredibly busy for me. I always reward myself with a few days off. Even if that means staying at home, sleeping in and doing nothing. I just need to recharge a bit to get back on track. It looks like you had a great vacation!

So pretty! And ugh, unfortunately vacations ARE temporary–but I guess they would be as enjoyable if they weren’t!

Can I trade you for yours? I could use a few inches of height!
Completely agree!
I went on vacation in October for 2 weeks and it was amazing. I slept so well despite sleeping on friend’s couches during the whole trip! Glad you had a great vacation

How cool! My husband’s company built the new Marlins Stadium. Too bad we are in Cali now and can’t enjoy it.

I couldn’t agree more! It’s been way too long (over 4 years!!) since I went on a real vacation, and while a week-long getaway isn’t in the cards this year, I am going to do my best to take small trips. Because a change of pace is good for the soul.
